Depending on local requirements, the outreach also includes contributions of Kewlani’s dry and packaged food products for community meals and festival activities.</div><div>The initiative spans community celebrations of different scales, including mandals such as Nagpur Ka Raja, Chota Taj Bag Ka Raja, Dakshina Murthi Mahal Ka Raja, Panchmukhi Ganesh Mandal, Vidharbha Ganesh Mandal, Ekta Ganesh Mandal, Nilkanth Ganesh Utsav and National Ganesh Mandal, among others. The movement also resonated internationally, with participation extending across 23 countries and 100 cities worldwide.</div><div><br></div><div>This was not simply a journey across geographical boundaries. It was a journey across India’s rich cultural, linguistic, social and spiritual diversity, bringing together different traditions, generations, communities and ways of life under one shared message: I AM PEACE.</div><div><br></div><div>The Yatra reflected the timeless spirit of Bharat, a land where diversity has always found space within the larger idea of unity. From one region to another, different languages, customs, attire, music and cultural expressions came together, while the message remained the same: peace begins within the individual and finds its expression in the world.</div><div><br></div><div>At the heart of the movement was the powerful thought: “<b>Antarik Shanti Se Vishwa Shanti</b>” - From Inner Peace to World Peace. The Vishwa Shanti Yatra invited every individual to look beyond peace as merely an aspiration for nations or societies. It called upon people to recognise their own role in creating a more peaceful world - the need of the hour. The idea is simple: when individuals choose peace, they begin impacting their families and communities, and in turn, the nation and the world at large.</div><div><br></div><div><b>The message “I Am Peace”, inspired by Prem Avaatar Maitreya Dadashree</b>, has become a simple yet profound affirmation carried by people across Bharat. Through peace walks, human chains, placards, dialogues and collective expressions, the Yatra transformed this inner message into a visible public movement.</div><div><br></div><div>The highlight of the event was the launch of the World Peace Prayer, with the grace and <b>blessings of Maitreya Dadashree</b>. It will strengthen UPI sustainability, support innovation, mitigate frauds and enhance wider acceptance. The framework will support payment infrastructure and acceptance networks enabling UPI to expand further and serve consumers and businesses across the country.</div><div><br></div><div>ASSOCHAM appreciates the Government’s balanced approach which keeps all person-to-person (P2P) UPI transactions completely free, irrespective of the amount transferred. Merchant payments up to ₹2,000 will also remain free of MDR.</div><div><br></div><div>The framework provides continued zero MDR support to eligible small merchants, including street vendors and neighbourhood businesses receiving up to ₹1 lakh per month through UPI QR codes under the P2PM category. This will help protect micro and small businesses from additional payment costs.</div><div> </div><div>In India, there are more than 3 crore Micro units who will not face any MDR charges for UPI transactions as their monthly turnover is less than 1 Lakh.</div><div><br></div><div>Importantly, around 96% of merchant transactions will remain unaffected with MDR applying to only about 4% of P2M transactions. This will ensure that the vast majority of everyday merchant payments continue without any MDR impact.</div><div><br></div><div>For specified merchant transactions above ₹2,000, an MDR of 0.4% will apply which is  capped at ₹300 for transactions of ₹75,000 and above. Essential and thin margin sectors such as railways, telecommunications, insurance, fuel and agricultural inputs will attract a flat MDR of ₹5 on transactions above ₹2,000.</div><div><br></div><div>For capital market transactions, including mutual funds, securities, stockbrokers and dealers, the MDR will be 0.02%, capped at ₹300 per transaction, supporting continued digital adoption in formal financial markets.</div><div><br></div><div>The framework also provides for a dedicated fund, with 5% of total MDR collections, to promote UPI adoption among small merchants and support wider acceptance, particularly across rural and semi urban areas.</div><div><br></div><div>By creating a sustainable revenue mechanism while protecting consumers and small merchants, the framework can support greater investment in innovation, infrastructure and payment acceptance. This will further strengthen UPI’s role in driving India’s digital transformation, said Shri Nirmal K. The anchor investor bidding date is Wednesday, September 23, 2026, and the bid/offer will conclude on Monday, September 28, 2026. The Company receive ₹35,500 lakhs, through a fresh issue of equity shares, and aims to be listed on the BSE & NSE platforms. </div><div><br></div><div>The price band for the Offer has been fixed at ₹385-₹405 per share, and bids can be made for a minimum of 37 equity shares equity shares of face value of ₹10 and multiples of 37 thereafter. Prabhudas Lilladher Capital Markets Private Limited and Khambatta Securities Limited are the Book Running Lead Managers (“BRLMs”), and Bigshare Services Private Limited is the Registrar to the Offer.</div><div><br></div><div>The IPO comprises a Fresh Issue of equity shares of face value of ₹10 each aggregating up to ₹35,500 lakhs by the Company and an Offer for Sale of equity shares of face value of ₹10 each aggregating up to ₹5,000 lakhs by the Promoters of the Company, Sandeep Kumar, Sunil Jallan and Krishan Kumar Jalan, through book-building route. A discount of ₹38 per equity share is being offered to eligible employees bidding under the employee reservation category. </div><div><br></div><div>According to Red Herring Prospectus, ASIL proposes to utilize ₹25,000 lakhs from the Offer proceeds for pre-payment or partial re-payment of a portion of certain outstanding borrowings availed by the company and to deploy remaining funds for general corporate purposes and offer expenses.</div><div><br></div><div>ASIL is a backward/vertically integrated steel manufacturer with a diversified product portfolio comprising long and flat steel products, as well as industrial products. The Company and its subsidiaries operate six manufacturing units across Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, comprising facilities located at Gauribidanur, Hindupur, Chikkantapur, Bellary, and Koppal with an aggregate installed capacity of 17,33,100 MTPA.  </div><div><br></div><div>The Company’s manufacturing facilities undertake complementary stages of the steel-manufacturing process. Additionally, the Company’s HR coil and HR (MS) pipes in grades manufactured at out Bellary I Facility have also been certified as green products by the Confederation of Indian Industry - Green Products and Services Council under the GreenPro Ecolabel framework.</div><div><br></div><div>The Company received a Green Steel Certificate from the National Institute of Secondary Steel Technology, Mandi, Gobindgarh (India) for producing 1,80,351 tonnes of TMT Bars during Fiscal 2026, having an average emission intensity of 0.67t-CO2e/tfs. </div><div><br></div><div>ASIL has also initiated the compliance process that enables Company’s steel exports to be accepted in the European Union under the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).</div><div><br></div><div>A-One Steel India is one of the steel industry players with lower emissions per tonne of crude steel and a higher share of renewable electricity usage. The Company has been awarded 5-star rating by the Ministry of Steel for its production facility in Chikkabalapur, Karnataka for the production of TMT bars. As of Fiscal 2026, 83.20% of the total power requirement for ASIL’s manufacturing facilities is met through the green energy, enabled the Company to save approximately ₹1.57 per unit in electricity cost during the Fiscal Year.</div><div><br></div><div>The Company sells its products through a combination of direct retail sales channels, authorised distributors, institutional customers and other intermediaries and trading channels. Based on a primary survey of more than 5,000 respondents across 100 cities in 20 states, the DCII addresses a critical gap in India’s financial inclusion landscape by examining who accesses digital credit, how easily and frequently they use it, why they borrow, whether they trust it, and whether its use contributes to stronger financial outcomes, going beyond existing benchmarks that largely track payment adoption or aggregate loan volumes.</div><div>In its inaugural edition, India achieves a national DCII score of 55.85 out of 100, placing the country in the "Emerging and Served" category (51–75). The score reflects a maturing ecosystem where payment infrastructure and digital loan awareness are well established. Access is the strongest pillar at 61.24, followed closely by Adoption at 57.17. Impact which is the measure of whether digital credit is making households more financially secure lags at 49.16. This shows that India has made significant progress in expanding access to digital credit. The next opportunity is to deepen trust and adoption, help consumers borrow more purposefully, build confidence in digital credit on par with digital payments, and translate access into measurable financial resilience and savings outcome.</div><div><b>Rajiv Kumar, Chairman, Pahle India Foundation</b>, “Financial inclusion must be measured by outcomes, not just access and usage. As India advances towards Viksit Bharat 2047, the DCII will help track how digital credit translates into real financial progress.”</div><div><br></div><div><span><b>KEY FINDINGS</b></span></div><div><b>Tier-2 borrowers are driving India’s digital credit story</b></div><div>The DCII reveals a shift in the geography of digital borrowing. Tier-2 cities lead digital credit inclusion across age, gender, income, occupation and education, with an average score of 58.64, compared with 53.1 for Tier-1 and 55.7 for Tier-3 cities. This marks an important distinction between India’s digital payment and credit journeys. While Tier-1 cities continue to lead in digital payments, Tier-2 cities are emerging a s the strongest centres of digital credit adoption. Coimbatore, Surat, Nagpur, Indore, Prayagraj, Ranchi, Ghaziabad and Ludhiana are among the cities driving this growth. Tier-2 cities also show the narrowest gender gap in digital credit inclusion—2.8 points, compared with 9.1 points in Tier-1 cities—suggesting that stronger adoption is also accompanied by more balanced participation.</div><div><br></div><div><b>Economic opportunity is narrowing India’s digital credit gender gap</b></div><div>Economic agency is a powerful enabler of women’s financial inclusion. While men score higher than women overall on digital credit inclusion, the gap reverses among salaried respondents. Salaried women record a DCII score of 62.0, compared with 60.2 for salaried men. The trend is also narrowing across generations. The gender gap narrows to 2.9 points among respondents aged 18–29, compared with 4.6 points among those aged 60 and above. The findings suggest that equal economic access, particularly through formal salaried employment, can help close—and even reverse—the gender gap in digital credit inclusion.</div><div><br></div><div><b>India knows about digital credit. The next challenge is trust and impact.</b></div><div>Awareness is no longer the primary barrier: 94.4% of respondents know of at least one form of digital credit. Trust, however, remains a challenge. Confidence in digital borrowing stands at 52.5, compared with 69.7 for digital payments—a 17-point gap that underscores the need to bring greater trust, transparency and simplicity to the borrowing experience. Digital credit also plays a limited role during financial stress. When respondents last faced a cash shortfall, 48.2% turned to savings, while only 6.9% used a digital loan app and 3.4% used Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL). Digital credit may be increasingly available, but it has yet to become a meaningful financial cushion.</div><div><br></div><div><b>Digital participation is growing, but credit visibility remains uneven</b></div><div>The benefits of this momentum are uneven. The DCII highlights a persistent structural challenge: being digitally active does not necessarily make someone visible to the formal credit system. Homemakers, gig workers, daily-wage earners, students and others outside of formal salaried employment scores around 11 points lower than salaried and business respondents on digital credit inclusion. Closely linked to income and occupation, this divide highlights the need to complement traditional income documentation with digital transaction histories and cash-flow-based assessments, particularly for self-employed, gig and other irregular-income workers.</div><div><br></div><div><b>From consumption to productive use</b></div><div>Digital credit is largely used for consumption, with 59% of respondents using it to purchase electronics and home appliances. Productive use of digital credit such as investing in a business, building assets, or supporting financial planning—remains relatively low, with a score of 43.2. However, it rises significantly among frequent users with 64% reporting using digital credit productively. This suggests that as people become more familiar with digital credit, they are more likely to use it for longer-term financial goals. The next goal is not simply acquiring new users—it is deepening the habits of existing ones.</div><div>The DCII signals a new phase in India's digital financial journey. With access and rails established, the opportunity now is to make credit more trusted, purposeful and inclusive, and translate adoption into stronger financial outcomes. The report sets priorities for government, regulators, financial institutions, fintechs and researchers: measure digital credit inclusion consistently; use consent-based data for alternative underwriting; design for irregular incomes; strengthen transparency and responsible borrowing; deepen Tier-2/Tier-3 participation; and strengthen the credit-savings link while tracking whether access improves resilience.</div>

Anbalagan IAS, Principal Secretary Industries, Investment and Services Department, Government of Maharashtra</b>, said at ASSOCHAM MahaChem 2026, the state is taking steps to create a stronger ecosystem for the chemical sector, with a dedicated policy, new chemical parks and measures to support innovation and technology-led growth.</span></div><div>“Maharashtra is working towards a dedicated Chemical Sector Policy and we expect to have it in place by the end of October. The policy will address the specific requirements of the sector and complement initiatives already being developed across bioplastics, biotechnology, biomanufacturing and other emerging areas,” Dr. Anbalagan said.</div><div>He said the state is also examining locations including Palghar, Raigad and Ratnagiri for chemical parks ranging from 2,500 to 5,000 acres. Alongside this, faster approvals and ease of doing business would remain key priorities. The proposed ₹1,000-crore Maharashtra Industries and Investment Fund will support R&D, technology readiness and innovation, while strengthening the financing ecosystem for new technologies and businesses.</div><div><b>Praveen Pardeshi IAS, Chief Economic Advisor to Chief Minister and Chief Executive Officer, Maharashtra Institution for Transformation (MITRA), </b>said at ASSOCHAM MahaChem 2026, the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors would be critical to Maharashtra’s ambition of becoming a US$1 trillion economy, with competitiveness increasingly dependent on access to utilities, energy and water, as well as supportive policy reforms.</div><div>“Achieving this will require faster growth as well as an ecosystem that attracts greater private investment. This project represents one of the most significant achievements of India–Japan cooperation in large-scale infrastructure development. </div><div><br></div><div>JICA has extended cumulative Official Development Assistance (ODA) loans of JPY 620,787 million (INR 37,658 crore) to DFCCIL, supporting India’s efforts to modernise, enhance logistics infrastructure and strengthen connectivity along the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. </div><div><br></div><div>On this occasion, <b>Sato Hitomi, Consul-General, Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai</b> said, “the inauguration of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor shows another completion of the flagship project of Japan-India cooperation. As a national logistics artery, this high-capacity, fully electrified corridor will accelerate logistics, enhance industrial competitiveness, reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, and ease congestion on passenger lines. Japan is proud to have participated in this initiative through ODA scheme.
