It is the responsibility of each of us to celebrate a festival like Ganeshotsav, which is a festival of faith and preserves cultural heritage, in an environmentally friendly manner, and students should take the message of an environmentally friendly Ganeshotsav to every household through practical actions, <b>Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis</b> said. 'Environmental Maha Ganesh Murti Workshop 2026' was organized at CIDCO Exhibition and Convention Centre, Vashi. He was speaking on the occasion. On this occasion, <b>Environment and Climate Change Minister Pankaja Munde, Forest Minister Ganesh Naik, Maharashtra Pollution Control Board Chairman Siddhesh Kadam, MLA Manda Mhatre, Ravindra Phatak, Secretary of Environment and Climate Change Department Smt. We start any auspicious work in the name of Ganpati Bappa. Environment is of utmost importance in the culture of Maharashtra and India. The creation was created from the five elements, and only if these five elements are protected and conserved can human life be safe. Therefore, it is everyone's responsibility to celebrate a festival like Ganeshotsav, which preserves faith and cultural heritage, in an environmentally friendly manner. After the Guinness World Record examiners announced the results, CM Fadnavis said that the real creators of this record were the participating students. He appealed to the students to be proud that they are also part of this record. The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of Minister Pankaja Munde, Environment Department, concerned officers and employees, J.J. School of Art and Directorate of Arts for the concept of this initiative. Minister Pankaja Munde, while congratulating the students, said that this is an attempt to reach the concept of eco-friendly Ganeshotsav to every section of the society through students. In this innovative workshop organized at CIDCO Exhibition and Convention Center, Vashi, thousands of students and citizens made Ganesh idols from clay under the guidance of sculptors. CM Fadnavis inspected the workshop and appreciated the idols made by the students. After that, he himself made a Ganesh idol. The enthusiasm of the students doubled when they saw the Chief Minister making the idol of Bappa with them. Minister Pankaja Munde also gave the message of an eco-friendly Ganeshotsav to the participating students by making a Ganesh idol herself. As CM Fadnavis and Minister Pankaja Munde made a clay Ganesh idol themselves, this message was given a practical touch. “If we can do it, every family can also make an eco-friendly Bappa,” was the positive message given through this initiative.</span></div>

The child’s father, Sonu Kumar Jha, a devoted follower of Lord Mahadev and a firm believer in Sanatan values, considers the entire experience as a special grace of God.</div><div>According to Sonu Kumar Jha, as soon as his wife Ekta Jha completed nine months of pregnancy, an atmosphere of excitement and positive energy enveloped the family. Coincidentally, Gupt Navratri was underway, and the daughter was born on the third day of Navratri. This rare alignment proved to be an intensely emotional and spiritual experience for the family. Upon receiving the news of his daughter’s birth, Sonu Kumar Jha became emotional at the hospital itself and described the moment as the arrival of divine feminine energy on earth.</div><div>He believes that the timing of his daughter’s birth was not ordinary, but a sacred and divinely chosen moment, which he sees as the incarnation of a blessed soul. For this reason, he regards his daughter as a form of Goddess Lakshmi. Since her birth, he has experienced several positive changes in his life, with long-stalled paths opening up, along with increased respect, new opportunities, and a sense of overall positivity.</div><div>All rituals and ceremonies related to the birth were performed at auspicious times. </div><div>Sonu Kumar Jha shared that there was no need to consult an external priest, as his father Shri Ramchandra Jha, a scholar well-versed in religious scriptures, personally determined all the auspicious timings in accordance with tradition and faith.</div><div>To celebrate the birth of his daughter, Sonu Kumar Jha hosted a grand celebration at GCC Club & Hotel, Mira Road, Thane, Maharashtra. The event was attended by several prominent personalities who extended their congratulations, including film producer Sohail Maklai (producer of Kangana Ranaut-starrer Dhaakad), film director Aman Arora, actor Ksshitij Singh, actress Sangeeta Tiwari, and corporator Vivek Upadhyay. Cultural performers and professional dancers added to the vibrancy of the celebration. The overall arrangements, presentation, and disciplined management of the event were widely appreciated.</div><div>On this occasion, Sonu Kumar Jha expressed heartfelt gratitude to his entire family and in-laws. Family members from Delhi and Bihar arrived promptly to be part of the celebration. The presence of his nephew from Pune, the active involvement of his elderly father, and his supervision throughout the event made the occasion deeply emotional for the family. Sonu Kumar Jha described the support of his father-in-law Brij Mohan Jha, maternal uncle Ashok Jha, sister-in-law Mohni Jha, Soni Jha, and other relatives as truly unforgettable.</div><div>Sonu Kumar Jha also plays an active role in social and public life. Leveraging one of India’s most visible public platforms, Arpan created awareness, amplified conversations among runners, supporters, and citizens about Child Sexual Abuse and reinforced public accountability for the implementation of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.</div><div>#POCSOPakadLega was the central theme of Arpan’s flagship public awareness campaign, Child Safety Week (CSW)—observed annually from 14th to 20th November with acclaimed actress Vidya Balan (Arpan’s Goodwill Ambassador) as the face of the campaign, that reached 165+ million people nationwide. The theme focussed on targeting offenders and sent an uncompromising warning: “Kisi bhi bacche ko galat tareeke se chhua toh #POCSOPakadLega. It served both as a warning and a deterrent, making the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act) visible and accountability real. </div><div>At the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026, Arpan activated the message once again through a strong on-ground presence at the Dream Run, where Arpan’s team moved together as one unified voice, carrying the message of #POCSOPakadLega through placards and powerful slogans that symbolised collective responsibility and the power of community action. They called upon adult stakeholders reminding them that when adults take action, laws like POCSO come alive and ensure that offenders are held accountable. </div><div>The other leg of Arpan’s on-ground engagement at TMM was the Motivational Zone stage, anchored by a motorised handcuff innovation that visually reinforced the core message of #POCSOPakadLega, stating that offenders will be caught and held accountable under the law. Designed to arrest attention and provoke reflection, the installation drew runners, supporters, and spectators to pause and engage with the message. Alongside this, Arpan hosted a public pledge signboard that invited participants to commit to child safety and play their part in preventing child sexual abuse. </div><div>This was complemented by a photo-op with Vidya Balan’s lifesize cut-out alongside the campaign message, encouraging participants to engage with the installation, and amplify the message through their own social media platforms. The ambience was electrifying as the unstoppable spirit of Mumbai saw thousands of runners notice the #POCSOPakadLega campaign, and hundreds of them engaging with us. From 18 to 80 years, Arpan’s campaign saw Marathon participants shake a leg, sing with us and take pledges for child safety. </div><div>Arpan was recognised last year as Second Runners-up for Best Motivational Zone Stage at TMM 2025, and this year’s activation deepened its focus on deterrence and visibility.</div><div>Pooja Taparia, Founder and CEO, Arpan said:</div><div>“#POCSOPakadLega is about breaking the silence India has lived with for far too long and making offenders accountable. Child Sexual Abuse must no longer be whispered about, and offenders can't go scot-free. Platforms like the Tata Mumbai Marathon give us an unparalleled opportunity to take this conversation into the mainstream, reaching over 60,000 participants and turning awareness into collective responsibility. If one pledge leads to one adult stepping up for child safety, it can change a child’s future forever.”</div><div>The core intent of this initiative was to amplify conversation on CSA prevention, make the POCSO Act visible and hold offenders accountable which was brought alive through on-ground  creative engagement, strong messaging, and active public participation.</div><div><br></div><div>About Arpan:</div><div>Arpan is a globally recognised, award-winning non-profit based in Mumbai, dedicated to the elimination of Child Sexual Abuse in India. It is the country’s largest NGO with 150+ professionals offering comprehensive prevention and intervention (healing) services for both children and adults.
