The strategic collaboration strengthens charging accessibility for Kia EV customers and addresses one of the key considerations influencing electric vehicle adoption—range confidence.</div><div><br></div><div>Commenting on the development, Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said, “Convenience and confidence are critical to EV adoption. Through this partnership with BPCL, we are making EV ownership more practical and stress-free for our customers by expanding charging access at scale. Strengthening the K-Charge network allows Kia EV customers to plan journeys with greater assurance, while supporting India’s broader transition to sustainable mobility.”</div><div><br></div><div>As electric mobility gains momentum in India, charging availability remains a decisive factor for customers considering the shift to EVs. By integrating BPCL’s public charging infrastructure into K-Charge, Kia India is strengthening everyday EV usability, enabling customers to travel more freely across urban centres, highways, and inter-city routes.</div><div><br></div><div>The MoU between Kia India and BPCL was formalised on the sidelines of the 4th edition of India Energy Week 2026, held from 27–30 January at the ONGC Academy Training Institute (ATI), Goa. Under the agreement, over 3,000 BPCL charging points will be onboarded onto Kia’s K-Charge platform, significantly expanding the network’s national footprint.</div><div><br></div><div>K-Charge, accessible via the MyKia App and Kia India website, enables customers to seamlessly locate charging stations, navigate to them, and initiate payment for charging through a single, unified digital platform. The expanded network reduces dependency on standalone charging providers and simplifies the EV ownership experience.</div><div><br></div><div>The infrastructure expansion aligns with Kia India’s growing EV portfolio. The initiative served as a key platform for dialogue, collaboration, and business development, highlighting Sri Lanka’s growing appeal as a preferred destination for leisure, business, and weddings.</div><div><br></div><div>Sri Lanka’s tourism industry witnessed a remarkable resurgence in 2025, registering a record high of approximately 2.36 million international tourist arrivals the highest annual figure on record for the island nation. India continues to be the leading source market, contributing over 5,31,000 arrivals, accounting for nearly 27% of total tourist arrivals, more than double that of any other source market. These numbers underscore the deep cultural and travel affinity between India and Sri Lanka and reflect strengthened air connectivity and marketing linkages between the two countries.</div><div><br></div><div>The evening commenced with the Indian and Sri Lankan national anthems and the traditional lighting of the oil lamp, followed by addresses from senior officials of SLTPB, and SriLankan Airlines. Speakers highlighted Sri Lanka’s diverse tourism offerings from pristine beaches and cultural heritage to wildlife, wellness, and adventure and emphasized India’s vital contribution to Sri Lanka’s tourism rebound. Increased travel demand has also led carriers like SriLankan Airlines and Indian airlines to enhance flight frequencies across key Indian cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, facilitating seamless travel for leisure and business travellers.</div><div><br></div><div>Adding a cultural vibrance to the event, guests enjoyed traditional Sri Lankan performances that showcased the island’s rich artistic heritage. </div><br></div><div>Mumbai: The birth of a baby girl in the Jha family is being seen not merely as a moment of familial joy, but as a spiritually significant event deeply connected with faith, Sanatan traditions, and divine blessings. The child’s father, Sonu Kumar Jha, a devoted follower of Lord Mahadev and a firm believer in Sanatan values, considers the entire experience as a special grace of God.</div><div>According to Sonu Kumar Jha, as soon as his wife Ekta Jha completed nine months of pregnancy, an atmosphere of excitement and positive energy enveloped the family. Coincidentally, Gupt Navratri was underway, and the daughter was born on the third day of Navratri. This rare alignment proved to be an intensely emotional and spiritual experience for the family. Upon receiving the news of his daughter’s birth, Sonu Kumar Jha became emotional at the hospital itself and described the moment as the arrival of divine feminine energy on earth.</div><div>He believes that the timing of his daughter’s birth was not ordinary, but a sacred and divinely chosen moment, which he sees as the incarnation of a blessed soul. For this reason, he regards his daughter as a form of Goddess Lakshmi. Since her birth, he has experienced several positive changes in his life, with long-stalled paths opening up, along with increased respect, new opportunities, and a sense of overall positivity.</div><div>All rituals and ceremonies related to the birth were performed at auspicious times. </div><div>Sonu Kumar Jha shared that there was no need to consult an external priest, as his father Shri Ramchandra Jha, a scholar well-versed in religious scriptures, personally determined all the auspicious timings in accordance with tradition and faith.</div><div>To celebrate the birth of his daughter, Sonu Kumar Jha hosted a grand celebration at GCC Club & Hotel, Mira Road, Thane, Maharashtra. The event was attended by several prominent personalities who extended their congratulations, including film producer Sohail Maklai (producer of Kangana Ranaut-starrer Dhaakad), film director Aman Arora, actor Ksshitij Singh, actress Sangeeta Tiwari, and corporator Vivek Upadhyay. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada as ‘Karamsthalam’, while the Hindi version will be titled ‘Karmasthal’.</div><div><br></div><div>Directed by young South Indian filmmaker Rocky Sharman and produced by Harshvardhan Shinde, the film presents Indian mythology in a modern cinematic format by reimagining Indian gods as superheroes. The project blends mythological storytelling with contemporary visual effects and emotional depth.</div><div><br></div><div>Music for the film is composed by Sai Karthik, and the cast includes Divi Vadthya, Archana, Arvind Krishna, Prince Cecil, Baahubali Prabhakar, among others. Shot primarily in Hyderabad, nearly 80 percent of the talkie portions have been completed, with the remaining shoot scheduled for February–March.</div><div><br></div><div>The film’s casting and production design are handled by GFA, Hyderabad, while Deepak Baldev Thakur, founder of Glitter Film Academy, is associated with the project as its Business Head. </div><br></div><div>The musical underscores the transformative power of theatre in building confidence, enhancing communication skills, and fostering self-expression among young learners.</div><div><br></div><div>Mumbai: After enchanting audiences last year with their performance, the students of Mumbai’s municipal schools are set to return to the prestigious Kala Ghoda Arts Festival on February 1, 2026. This year, over 100 students aged 10-13 will perform "The Whispering Woods: Ishaan's Journey," an English musical that evolves the conversation from simply observing nature to actively taking responsibility for it.</div><div><br></div><div>At its core, the musical is the culmination of a year-long theatre-based learning programme championed by the Pehlay Akshar Foundation (PAF) that uses performance as a tool for language development and self-expression. Students have worked through a structured curriculum designed to strengthen communication skills, build confidence in spoken English, and nurture creativity through storytelling, music, and movement.</div><div><br></div><div>“We believe that theatre is a powerful tool for personal and social development, especially when combined with language learning. Students learn to express themselves better in English, expanding their vocabulary, refining pronunciation, and gaining a deeper understanding of the language which makes them more confident in their academic and professional lives.”</div><div><br></div><div>As part of this unique initiative, the students had the opportunity to work alongside professionals in theatre set design, drama, and acting, gaining valuable hands-on experience and exposure to the world of performing arts. "I usually spend my free time playing Roblox, so standing on a real stage is a completely new world for me,” says Shaurya, a Class 5 student from Nariyalwadi school. “I do well in English class, but acting has taught me a different kind of confidence. Even though it’s my first time and I’m a little nervous, I’m not afraid. I hope my parents see me up there, because I think I might want to be an actor one day."</div><div><br></div><div>While last year’s production invited audiences to observe nature through the eyes of animals, ‘The Whispering Woods’ shifts the focus to active responsibility. Through the journey of Ishaan, a “story catcher” traversing forests and cities, the play illustrates how small, daily choices can counter the effects of urbanisation and restore our connection to the wild.</div><div><br></div><div>The performance is open to the public and invites families, educators, and festival-goers to experience how theatre can become a bridge between language learning, environmental awareness, and youthful imagination.</div>
