Mumbai: In a powerful celebration of dignity, inclusion, and new beginnings, Narayan Seva Sansthan, one of India’s leading organizations dedicated to disability rehabilitation, healthcare, and social empowerment, proudly organized a Free Narayan Limb & Calipers Fitment Camp in Mumbai on June 14.

During the camp, 154 prosthetic limbs including upper-limb, lower-limb, and multiple-limb prostheses, were fitted free of cost to 104 persons with disabilities.

The Chief Guest was Mangal Prabhat Lodha (Cabinet Minister, Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Maharashtra), accompanied by his wife, Manju Lodha. Distinguished guests included camp partner Radha Krishna Charitable Foundation (USA), Jayashree Bhatia, social worker Niti Goyal, patron Satya Bhushan Jain (Mumbai), and Branch President Mahesh Agarwal. Trustee and Director Devendra Choubisa was also present at the camp.
Ravish Kawadia (In-charge of the Foreign Department) expressed his gratitude in the camp.

The primary objective of the initiative was to provide comprehensive rehabilitation support to persons with disabilities through free screening, assessment, and identification of requirements for artificial limbs and mobility aids. Advanced 3D printing technology, developed with Japanese and German engineering inputs, was utilized to ensure precision-fit, modular prosthetic solutions tailored to individual beneficiary needs.

Chief Guest Mangal Prabhat Lodha (Cabinet Minister, Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Maharashtra) said, "Witnessing beneficiaries take their first steps toward greater independence inspires us to continue expanding our efforts and reaching more communities across the country." He lauded Narayan Seva Sansthan for successfully extending its services and support to persons with disabilities in Maharashtra and across India.

Prashant Agarwal (President, Narayan Seva Sansthan) said, “At Narayan Seva Sansthan, we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, confidence, and independence. An artificial limb is not merely a medical device; it is a pathway to mobility, self-reliance, and renewed hope. Through these initiatives, we are committed to leveraging advanced rehabilitation technologies and compassionate care to ensure that persons with disabilities have access to the support they need to lead fulfilling lives.

In May, Narayan Seva Sansthan organized a measurement camp in Mumbai for persons with disabilities to identify cases for free corrective surgeries, reflecting a holistic rehabilitation model that extends beyond prosthetic support.
Extending its mission beyond healthcare, Narayan Seva Sansthan recently hosted its 46th Divyang Mass Wedding Ceremony in Delhi, uniting 21 differently-abled couples in a dignified celebration of companionship, equality, and social inclusion.
So far, the organization has provided free artificial limbs to over 39,591 differently-abled individuals and extended free medical treatment to more than 452,000 beneficiaries, positively transforming countless lives and fostering greater inclusion and independence.

Recognised at the highest national level, NSS founder Kailash Manav Agarwal received the Padma Shri in 2008 from then President Pratibha Patil for his contributions to social service. Continuing this legacy, NSS President Prashant Agarwal was honoured with the National Award in 2023 by President Droupadi Murmu for advancing the empowerment of persons with disabilities. Over the years, the institution has provided free artificial limbs to more than 39,388 beneficiaries and free medical treatment to over 452,000 patients.
