Mumbai : Akriti Vishwakarma, a resident of B.R. Shukla Chawl in Shivaji Nagar, Kurar Village (Malad East), has brought laurels to her parents and locality by scoring 83% marks in the SSC examination this year. The special thing is that Akriti achieved this success completely by self-study without any tuition or classes.
Akriti's father, Ajay Vishwakarma, is employed in the medical field, while her mother, Geeta Vishwakarma, is a social worker who works with the 'Dwarikamai Charity Organization'.
After the exam results came out, there has been a stream of people congratulating Akriti. Akriti credited her parents for her success and said, "We should have faith in ourselves."
Akriti now wants to pursue a career in the Merchant Navy by pursuing further studies in Science stream with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) subjects.
