Mumbai (Nilesh Khandare): Medi Assist Healthcare Services Ltd., in partnership with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), unveiled the ‘Borderless Health’ framework at the Raksha Summit 2024. This initiative aligns with India’s “Viksit Bharat by 2047” mission, aiming to eliminate healthcare disparities and ensure universal, high-quality, and accessible healthcare for all.

The framework addresses critical barriers, including gaps in investments, insurance coverage, and preventive care. Central to the vision is the Health JAM framework, powered by:

1. Joined Health Data: A 100% digital, tokenized health data system for seamless and consent-based access.

2. Automation: AI-driven claims processing, personalized health packages, and fraud detection.

3. Mobile-Enabled Care: On-demand services for citizens across geographies.

The report envisions achieving 90% universal health insurance by 2035 and establishing a fully interoperable health data system by 2040. It emphasizes three key healthcare delivery vectors:

1. G2C (Government to Citizen): Expanding schemes like Ayushman Bharat to include preventive care.
2. E2E (Employer to Employee): Promoting comprehensive group health insurance.
3. B2C (Business to Customer): Customizing retail insurance for broader coverage.

Satish Gidugu, CEO, Medi Assist, stated, “Every individual deserves on-demand access to healthcare and wellness.”

Alpesh Shah, Managing Director at BCG, stressed the need for stakeholder collaboration to achieve equitable healthcare.

With its focus on data-driven systems like Patient360 and India’s National Health Stack, Borderless Health aspires to revolutionize the country’s healthcare landscape by making quality care universally accessible and cashless by 2047.
