Mumbai (Nilesh Khandare): The 16th edition of Dr Batra’s® Positive Health Awards, supported by Bajaj Auto, honored individuals who overcame significant illnesses and disabilities while contributing to society. Hosted by actress Mandira Bedi at Tata Theatre, NCPA, the event celebrated the human spirit and resilience.

The prestigious jury, including Rajiv Bajaj (MD, Bajaj Auto), Padma Shri Dr. Mukesh Batra, Maneka Gandhi, Vivek Oberoi, and R. Balki, selected the winners from hundreds of applications. Guest of Honor Dr. Bu Abdullah from Dubai added an international dimension to the ceremony, attended by over 1,000 prominent figures.

The audience enjoyed inspiring performances by ‘Swarrange’, a visually challenged orchestra, and Bengaluru's Pasha Dance Group, showcasing a unique wheelchair-based fusion of Kathak and Bharatnatyam.

Dr. Mukesh Batra stated, “Positive Health Heroes inspire millions with their extraordinary journeys. We are proud to unveil their stories, which motivate others to heal and thrive.”

Actor Sonu Sood praised the foundation’s efforts, calling the awardees "true examples of courage." Rajiv Bajaj highlighted his belief in homeopathy, commending its transformative power and Dr. Batra’s role in globalizing it.

This year’s People’s Choice Award winners included Satyam (4+ lakh votes), Suvarna Raj (3+ lakh votes), and Anand Arnold (2+ lakh votes). Each received ₹1 lakh, a certificate, and a trophy as ‘Positive Health Heroes 2024’, furthering their journeys of societal impact and inspiration.
