Mumbai – Rajasthan's Education Minister Madan Dilawar was warmly welcomed at a grand felicitation ceremony held in Borivali. The event saw the presence of prominent members of the Rajasthani community in Maharashtra, along with distinguished personalities from politics, business, and social work. The ceremony was organized to promote education in Rajasthan, with an appeal to the Rajasthani community in Mumbai to actively participate in the initiative.
As the chief guest, Education Minister Madan Dilawar addressed the audience, shedding light on the various educational campaigns and initiatives currently underway in Rajasthan. He urged the Rajasthani diaspora to contribute significantly to the improvement and expansion of education in the state.
Several notable dignitaries graced the event with their presence. These included former North Mumbai MP Gopal Shetty, former Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Raj Purohit, Dahisar MLA Manisha Chaudhari, renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Shyam Agarwal, and social worker Purushottam Kejriwal. Other honored guests included Ratan Singh Tura, Natwarlal Positra, Vijayraj Purohit, Pramod Kumar Jaswantpura, and Sunny Agarwal.
During the ceremony, businessman and philanthropist Purushottam Kejriwal was specially honored with a shawl in recognition of his contributions to society. In his speech, Kejriwal praised Education Minister Madan Dilawar, stating that under his leadership, Rajasthan is making great strides in the fields of education and environmental conservation. "Madan Dilawar has set a new benchmark by planting over Seven Crore trees plantation across Rajasthan. His initiative is steering the state toward becoming cleaner and plastic-free," Kejriwal said.
He further emphasized how inspired he was by Dilawar’s dedication and vowed to support his initiatives, urging other influential members of the Rajasthani diaspora to do the same.
Kejriwal’s family has long been involved in the pharmaceutical industry, with their company exporting most of its products internationally. Known for his clean image and dedication to social service, Kejriwal played a significant role during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing food supplies, medicines, and financial aid to those in need.
The event also showcased the rich culture and traditions of Rajasthan. Colorful performances and music added to the vibrant atmosphere. The ceremony aimed not only to honor the efforts of Education Minister Madan Dilawar but also to strengthen the connection between the Rajasthani diaspora and the development efforts in Rajasthan.
