Mumbai: On March 08, 2023, a special program was organized on the occasion of International Women's Day at Mumbai Samachar Marg branch under Union Bank of India, Regional Office, Mumbai South. Karmaveer award winner Ms. Priyanka Bissa was invited as the chief guest in this program. Mumbai Zonal Head Mr. Yogendra Singh, Deputy Zonal Head Mr. Srinivasa Rao, Regional Head Mr. Govind Kumar Jha, Deputy Regional Head Mr. Samiran Roy Chowdhury, women staff members of the region and other staff members were present in the programme. Mr. Yogendra Singh greeted the gathering with best wishes for international women's day and welcomed the chief guest. Awarded the NSS National Award by the Honorable President of India in the year 2019, “Chhattisgarh ki Beti” Priyanka Bissa emphasized on women empowerment and social equality in her address. She interacted directly with the women staff members present in the program and discussed their aspirations and expectations. Women staff members of Union Bank of India were felicitated by the dignitaries present. Regional Head Mr. Govind Kumar Jha proposed the vote of thanks. He mentioned the steps being taken in the field of women empowerment in Union Bank of India, and concluded the program by thanking all the women staff members present in the meeting with hearty wishes for Women's Day.
