Mumbai: GenWorks, India’s leading digital medical and healthcare solution provider, has completed nine successful years of making preventative healthcare accessible and affordable. The company celebrated its ninth anniversary in a grand event themed ‘Yeh Dil Maange More’ in Bengaluru. To mark the occasion, GenWorks leadership went down memory lane and announced a slew of strategic partnerships intending to expand its portfolio.
S. Ganesh Prasad, Founder, MD & CEO of GenWorks, addressed the gathering of customers, partners, investors, and employees. He spoke about how GenWorks has reinvented itself time and again to serve its target segments more efficiently and effectively.
In his opening note, Prasad said, “GenWorks was created to build distribution presence for GE & enable low resource settings with solutions for affordable access. While earlier, we expanded and built our portfolio for solutions that impact early detection and prevention. However, over the years, we have redefined our role as a customer-centric organization. COVID-19 exposed the gaps in healthcare delivery, especially delivering care closer to homes. We believe technology and connected care will play a significant role here. Now that the healthcare system has reset to the new normal, there is more willingness to collaborate. With the growing health awareness, inclination towards preventive healthcare, and an increasing onset of lifestyle diseases, we clearly see this as a big opportunity.”
To drive the change, GenWorks identified that the company needs to expand its footprints into women's wellness, critical care, renal care and oncology care needs for a greater impact.
The company further announced the collaborations. It has partnered with renal healthcare companies Browndove Healthcare and Renalyx. These partnerships aim to make GenWorks a one-stop solution for customers to enable the augmentation of last-mile dialysis services. GenWorks has also collaborated with Critical Care Hope, medical device manufacturer Panacea Medical technologies, and Karkinos Healthcare, a technology-led oncology platform.
Balaji RR (Co-Founder & COO of GenWorks) said, “The merger with Browndove will add nephrology consumables manufacturing capability for GenWorks. It will help serve the highly underserved dialysis market. Meanwhile, partnering with Renalyx will further strengthen our nephrology care portfolio.”
“The association with Critical Care Hope aligns with our goal to provide a connected care ecosystem for access to quality healthcare. And collaborating with Panacea Medical Technologies will ensure the availability of Make in India, state-of-the-art radiotherapy equipment nationwide. Karkinos will also be a critical partner to further advance our oncology care offerings, especially in the Femtech segment,” he added.
Besides these important announcements, there were thought-provoking sessions on private healthcare and its recent developments. The emergence of the PPP model and the increase in healthcare insurance penetration in the country was also discussed. Other sessions include panel discussions around the themes ‘Healthcare – Past Present & Into the Future,’ ‘Disrupting Nephrology Care,’ ‘Connected Care: Enabling Access to Critical Care,’ and ‘Oncology Hub & Spoke.’
