Indian indices ended with marginal gains in today’s trading session supported by banking and financial stocks.
Nifty rose by 0.20% or 23.05 points and closed at 11,408.40, while S&P BSE Sensex went up by 0.22% or 86.47 points and closed at 38,614.79.
Around 1651 shares advanced, 926 shares declined, while 104 shares remained unchanged.
Zee Entertainment (14.06%), GAIL (5.00%), Bharti Airtel (1.84%), Tech Mahindra (2.24%), and Maruti Suzuki (1.54%) were among top Nifty gainers, while Bajaj Auto (1.20%), Nestle (1.12%), ONGC (1.18%), Coal India (0.95%), and Wipro (0.81%) were among top Nifty losers.
Buying was seen in banking & financial, energy, and infra sectors, whereas, IT, pharma, and FMCG traded negative. BSE Midcap went up by 0.58% and BSE Smallcap rose by 1.16%.

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited
The stocks of the company declined by 0.52% and traded at Rs.4,497.00 after the company announced the launch of Avigan (Favipiravir) 200 mg tablets in India as a part of the global licensing agreement with Fujifilm Toyama Chemical Co. Limited.

Man Industries (India) Limited
The stocks of Man Industries (India) Limited went up by 6.43% and traded at Rs. 64.55 after the company bagged an export order worth approximately Rs.405 crore to be executed in the current financial year.

Reliance Industries Limited
Stocks of RIL went up by 0.87% and traded at Rs. 2,137.00 after the company announced acquisition of the majority equity stake in Netmed- an online pharmacy delivery startup.

Dilip Buildcon Ltd.
The company received a letter of acceptance from Rail Vikas Nigam through its joint venture HCC-DBL (JV) for a new project worth Rs.1334.95 crore. The stocks of the company went up by 6.84% and traded at Rs.406.10 in today’s trading session.

CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited
Private lender Yes Bank offloaded its 8.27% equity stake in CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited. As a result, the stocks of the company surged by 4.79% and traded at Rs. 15.30.

CSB Bank Limited
The first quarter net profit of the bank during the FY21 stood at Rs.53.6 crore while the other income of the bank stood at Rs.74.3 crore. The stocks of the company went up by 12.92% and traded at Rs.225.05.

H.G. Infra Engineering Limited
The company received a letter for the appointed date from Adani Road Transport Limited for a four laning project of NH-363 under NHPD phase-IV under NH(0). The stocks of the company went up by 2.50% and traded at Rs.196.95.

Indian Rupee
Indian rupee ended weaker in today’s session at Rs.74.93 against the US Dollar amid buying seen in the positive domestic equity markets.

Gold
The yellow metal fell down below USD 2,000 an ounce in today’s session as the Dollar steadied.

Global Markets Traded Positive
European markets slightly retreated in today’s session while the Asian stocks climbed to a seven-month high. Nasdaq went up by 0.73%, FTSE 100 rose by 0.16%, FTSE MIB went up by 0.46%, Nikkei 225 rose by 0.26%, while Hang Seng tripped down by 0.74%.
