</div></div><div><b>Mumbai:</b> As the world comes together to celebrate International Youth Day 2026, centred on the theme “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” the importance of ensuring equitable access to education, skills and livelihood opportunities for young people across diverse socio-economic backgrounds comes sharply into focus.</div><div><br></div><div>In line with this vision, <b>Pernod Ricard India Foundation (PRIF), in partnership with Youth Dreamers Foundation (YDF)</b>, continues to empower youth from underserved communities by enabling access to education, fostering skill development, and building pathways to meaningful employment.</div><div><br></div><div>Since 2019, the PRIF Scholarship Support Program has supported 2,576 scholars across Maharashtra, Punjab, and Rajasthan through an integrated model comprising scholarships, mentorship, Digital Learning & Resource Centres (DLRCs), career guidance, and employability-focused interventions Over the last five years, the initiative has disbursed ₹6.91 crore in direct scholarship support while facilitating access to an additional ₹4.77 crore through government and private scholarship schemes, enabling nearly ₹11.68 crore in total educational support.</div><div><br></div><div>Beyond financial assistance, the programme focuses on creating sustainable pathways from education to employment. This integrated approach has resulted in a [across supported cohorts, with students progressing into higher education and professional careers at rates significantly higher than state averages. </div><div><br></div><div>Supporting youth preparedness for the evolving world of work, PRIF has established community-based Digital Learning & Resource Centres (DLRCs) that serve as local hubs for digital access, skill-building, mentoring, and career readiness. Collectively, these centres have delivered over 250 learning hours, conducted 105 learning sessions, and recorded more than 18,000 visits, helping students build digital literacy, professional competencies, and confidence to navigate academic and career opportunities. The centres also support exposure to emerging workplace skills, helping students become better prepared for an increasingly digital and technology-enabled economy. </div><div><br></div><div>Commenting on the initiative, <b>a spokesperson for Pernod Ricard India Foundation said</b>, “The theme ‘Different Contexts, Common Aspirations’ reflects a powerful reality—while young people come from diverse backgrounds, their ambitions for a better future are shared. Today, the 364 scholars supported under the initiative are employed across 273 companies, collectively generating nearly ₹10 crore in annual income. For many first-generation graduates, these opportunities represent a transformational shift in household income, economic mobility, and long-term career prospects. Scholars have transitioned into sectors such as healthcare, technology, education, and professional services, creating a positive ripple effect for their families and communities. </div><div><br></div><div>An independent Social Return on Investment (SROI) assessment found that every ₹1 invested generated ₹3 in measurable social value, reflecting the programme's contribution towards educational attainment, employability, and long-term socio-economic advancement.</div><div><br></div><div>The initiative has maintained a strong focus on inclusion, with 70% of scholarship beneficiaries being girls and 70% of scholars belonging to SC, ST, OBC, and economically vulnerable communities. It also supports first-generation learners, including students from single-parent and orphaned backgrounds, helping to remove barriers to educational and economic mobility.</div><div><br></div><div>These efforts are further strengthened through community participation and mentorship. </div></div><div><b>Mumbai</b>: The Government of India has taken significant diplomatic and humanitarian measures to make the working environment safer, simpler and more accessible for Indian women workers employed in the Gulf countries. To provide immediate and coordinated assistance to Indian women facing difficult or crisis situations, seven state-of-the-art ‘One-Stop Centres’ have been established in major cities across the Gulf.</div><div><br></div><div><b>Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh</b> provided this information in response to a question raised in the Rajya Sabha. Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Singh had sought information regarding the challenges faced by Indians working in the Gulf countries and the steps being taken by India in this regard. In his response, the Minister of State said that nearly 10 million Indian citizens reside in the Gulf countries, 4.5 million in the UAE, 2.7 million in Saudi Arabia, 1 million in Kuwait, 820,000 in Qatar, 670,000 in Oman and 310,000 in Bahrain. Between 2014 and June 2026, a total of 5,025,506 emigrant workers holding ‘Emigration Check Required’ (ECR) category passports were granted ‘Emigration Clearance’ (EC) for overseas employment in the six Gulf countries.</div><div><br></div><div>According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the Minister said, “Recruitment can only be through State-run RAs or directly by a foreign employer (FE) that is registered with the concerned Indian Mission/Post. An FE hiring women workers is required to deposit a financial guarantee of US$ 2,500/- with the concerned Indian Mission/Post abroad and the contract between the worker and the employer must be duly attested by the Indian Mission. 7 One Stop Centres have been established in the Gulf (in Manama, Muscat, Doha, Riyadh, Dubai, Jeddah and Kuwait) especially to provide timely, comprehensive and coordinated assistance to Indian women in distress. These One Stop Centres have dedicated helplines, facilitate access to medical and police assistance, extend legal aid and counselling and provide psycho-social support.”</div><div><br></div><div>He said, “Established channels have been set up to enable them to reach out to the concerned Indian Mission/Post for assistance, including walk-in appointments, email, multilingual 24x7 emergency numbers, WhatsApp numbers, grievance redressal portal like MADAD/CPGRAMS/eMigrate, and social media channels. Pravasi Bharatiya Sahayata Kendras have been set up in 3 locations in the Gulf, namely, Dubai, Jeddah, and Riyadh, to provide guidance and counselling to Indian workers.”</div><div><br></div><div>Minister Singh also shared with Parliament data related to complaints received by Indian Missions and their prompt resolution, noting that most cases were resolved immediately. He further stated that Indian workers travelling abroad are also benefiting significantly from the Pravasi Bharatiya Bima Yojana (PBBY).</div>

The range brings Official Google TV 5.0, 1080p Full HD native resolution with 4K support and Dolby Audio, along with smart auto-setup features.</div><div><br></div><div>Designed for movies, OTT, sports and gaming, both projectors support up to 120-inch screen sizes, access to 10,000+ apps, Google Assistant, Kids Mode and certified apps including Netflix and YouTube. The F1 Pro offers 500 ANSI lumens and a 10W speaker, while the F1 features 300 ANSI lumens and a 6W speaker. Both come with auto focus, auto keystone correction and obstacle avoidance.</div><div><br></div><div>The CineHead F1 Pro is priced at ₹32,999 and is available on boAt’s website, Amazon, Flipkart and select retail stores. The growth reflects sustained employer demand for entry-level talent, led by Retail, E-commerce & Technology Start-ups, and Manufacturing. These sectors together continue to anchor the country's fresher hiring momentum.</div><div><br></div><div>However, this recovery is not uniform across industries. Compared to HY1 2026, fresher hiring intent has declined in IT, and is down to 76% from 81%, while Consulting, Telecom, and Marketing & Advertising each dropped by 3 %, and Media & Entertainment and Educational Services each declined by 2%. This indicates roughly one in three industries tracked in the report scaled back on their fresher hiring plans even as the national outlook improved.</div><div><br></div><div>Speaking on the findings, <b>Shantanu Rooj, Founder & CEO, TeamLease EdTech,</b> said, "What we're seeing this second half of the year  is less about how many freshers get hired, and more about which freshers get hired. Sectors like Retail, E-commerce, and Manufacturing are scaling up because they're finding candidates who arrive with practical, job-ready skills, not just a degree. IT and Consulting, on the other hand, are being more selective precisely because the skill bar has moved: employers in these sectors now expect freshers to show AI fluency, applied problem-solving, and hands-on project experience from day one, not capabilities they'll build on the job. This shift is exactly why we believe skilling can no longer be an afterthought to education; it needs to be embedded into how freshers learn, right from the classroom, so they're equipped for the roles that are actually growing, not just the ones they hoped for."</div><div><br></div><div>Geographically, Bangalore continues to lead fresher hiring intent at 89%, followed by Mumbai (75%) and Chennai (71%), together accounting for a significant share of India's entry-level hiring activity. Among job roles, AI Application Developer, Jr. Semiconductor Design Engineer, Data Centre Operations Associate, Programmatic Advertising Associate, and Inventory & Dispatch Executive emerge as the most in-demand fresher roles in HY2.</div><div>To strengthen their employability amid this more selective hiring environment, freshers are increasingly turning to skill-first certifications.
