Supporting local celebrations through food contributions, Mahabhoj participation and community-led programmes

Mumbai: Kewlani Group has extended its community outreach across Maharashtra during the Ganpati festival, supporting local celebrations through food contributions and participation in community-led Mahabhoj and meal programmes.
As part of the initiative, the Group is contributing 4,060 kg of atta in 1 kg packs across 51 outreach entries, comprising 47 Ganpati Utsav Mandals and four additional allocations for small Ganesh ji celebrations. Depending on local requirements, the outreach also includes contributions of Kewlani’s dry and packaged food products for community meals and festival activities.
The initiative spans community celebrations of different scales, including mandals such as Nagpur Ka Raja, Chota Taj Bag Ka Raja, Dakshina Murthi Mahal Ka Raja, Panchmukhi Ganesh Mandal, Vidharbha Ganesh Mandal, Ekta Ganesh Mandal, Nilkanth Ganesh Utsav and National Ganesh Mandal, among others. Rather than being limited to large public celebrations, the outreach also extends to smaller community-led observances.
Praveen Kewlani, Director, Kewlani Group, said, “Community engagement is most meaningful when it responds to what people genuinely need. Ganpati brings communities together through participation, sharing and seva, and food naturally becomes an important part of that collective experience. Our effort is to contribute in a practical way while remaining connected to the communities where we operate.”
The outreach reflects Kewlani Group’s broader approach to community engagement, where food and essential supplies form a practical avenue for participation in local and cultural initiatives. The Group had earlier supported the Jagannath Rath Yatra through food contributions for devotees, volunteers and service providers.
Poonam Kewlani, Head of Marketing, Kewlani Group, said, “Food has always been closely connected with community, traditions and everyday relationships. Ganpati gives us an opportunity to contribute in a way that is relevant to our category and useful to the communities we engage with. The focus is not only on the scale of the contribution, but on making that contribution meaningful at the local level.”
Through its Ganpati outreach, Kewlani Group continues to support community-led celebrations across Maharashtra, using food as a means of participation, sharing and social connection during one of the state’s most widely observed festivals.
