Yagnesh Sharma will be seen in Gujrati Film Tara Maate After Layak Nalayakk
Mumbai: Yagnesh Sharma is an actor, entrepreneur, and social worker. Born in Narsinghpur, and educated in Amarwara, Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, to a family of doctors and engineers, Yagnesh developed a passion for acting since his college days. He participated in annual college functions and inter-college competitions, and performed plays as a hobby at the Bhopal Natya Academy. He never considered acting a profession. But when fate has a plan, in 2018, he auditioned for a TV serial, was shortlisted, and his acting journey began. He starred in a 10-episode Hindi web series titled "Samjhauta," playing the powerful character of a scribe. The series was shot in Kullu, Manali, Dehradun, Mussoorie, and Rishikesh. He co-starred with Jasleen Matharu, Keshav Arora, Shilpa Gandhi, Dimple Bagroy, Kiran Kumar, and others. He then landed the role of a judge in a Hindi film based on triple talaq. He then landed the opportunity to star in a Gujarati film called Layak Nalayakk, starring Hitu Kanodia, Ashmit Patel, Hiten Kumar, Ojas Rawal, Kiran Acharya, Shekhar Shukla, and others, which was shot in London and Gujarat.
Yagnesh Sharma says, "It was my misfortune that I couldn't go to London due to visa issues. The film released on July 24, 2026, with a grand premiere in Ahmedabad. The media bytes and public reactions made my dream come true. I'm also doing another Gujarati film, "Tara Maate," starring all the big stars: Hiten Kumar, Gaurav Paswala, Sunny Pancholi, Smita Gondkar, Katha Patel, Greeva Kansara, Jitendra Thakkar and others."
Currently Yagnesh Sharma is doing some vertical series, short films, Gujarati films Rangilo 420 and Aatma Paramatma and some projects have been finalized to go on floors next year.
