Mumbai: As part of the National Doctors' Day celebrations, Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), the most renowned test prep institute in India, felicitated ex-Aakashians who have built careers as doctors and also those in advanced stages of studying MBBS in premier medical institutes, in a clear reflection of the institute’s lasting impact on the nation’s healthcare sector.
The occasion mirrored the rich tradition of AESL in cultivating successive generations of doctors. AESL has for almost four decades been associated with medical entrance preparation in India and has over the years enabled more than 8 lakh students to crack tough entrance exams and gain access to medical education.

The event on Doctors' Day saw participation from 10 Ex-Aakashians hailing from Mumbai and adjoining places that are either working as doctors or completing their MBBS in the final years of their education. The occasion acted as a forum for celebrating their successes and recognizing the efforts put in by teachers.

The healthcare industry in India still needs a continuous supply of doctors, as the current doctor-patient ratio in the country is estimated to be 1:811.
