Ahmedabad: As a highly sacred religious event highlighting the glorious tradition of penance, renunciation, and restraint in Jainism, a grand Panchahnika Tapotsav was organized at the Parshvanath Aradhana Bhavan of the Shri Chintamani Parshvanath Jain Temple in Ramnagar, Sabarmati. This Tapotsav was held in the holy presence of Gurudev Pt. H.H. Shri Ashok Sagar Surishwarji M.S., the inspiration behind the 108-foot tall Adinath Dada, the savior and guide of the Jambudweep, Nageshwar, Mandavgarh, and Manibhadra pilgrimage sites.

On this occasion, the diligent and humble H.H. H.H. Shri Saumychandrasagar Surishwarji M.S., the worshiper of Vardhaman Tapa, H.H. H.H. Shri Vivekchandrasagar Surishwarji M.S., and the founder H.H. The auspicious occasion of the completion of the 100th Oli of Vardhaman Tapaswini, a disciple of Shri Dhairyachandrasagarji M.S. and H.H. Shri Vasantprabhashreeji M.S., was celebrated with the divine power of penance.

On this auspicious occasion, the Parna was performed with the blessings of Shri Jain Dharmik Shikshan Sangh's Deputy Chief Trustee Sanjay Jeevanlal Shah and Alpa Sanjay Shah, Deputy Chief of the Women's Department. This auspicious occasion was celebrated with reverence and devotion on February 1, 2026 (Sunday).

Through rigorous penance, continuous devotion, and a life of restraint, initiated at a young age, the life of Tapaswini Shri has become a living symbol of inspiration for society. During the Panchahnika Tapotsav, various austerity rituals were organized, including Tapavandana, Anumodana, Vinanti, Salutation to Shramanas and Shramanis, and the Udyapan of the five chhodes.

On this occasion, the holy presence of numerous monks and nuns filled the entire atmosphere with feelings of devotion, meditation, and self-purification. The 108 fasts (Gunasamvarana), 7400 long Aayambils (long Aayambils), 18 Masakshamanas (sacred fasts), and other rare austerities performed by the ascetic have further strengthened the values ​​of austerity, restraint, and spiritual progress in the Jain community. Furthermore, the eloquence and impact of His Holiness Shri Giranshu M.S.'s discourses have given a new direction to religious awakening in society.

On this auspicious occasion, Sabarmati Sangha President Jayantibhai Sanghvi (Ratnamani), Dharme Trust Trustee Dharmeshbhai Shak, and Jashwantlal Nemchand Shah, along with numerous monks and nuns, Jain trustees, Sangha officials, religious dignitaries, and organization members were present. The presence of thousands of monks and nuns made this austerity festival truly grand and memorable.
