Mumbai witnessed an unforgettable evening of courage, creativity and compassionate expression at “Bekhauf Baatein 6.0”, curated by Smita Bharti, where internationally acclaimed choreographer Sandip Soparrkar graced the stage with his signature calm, powerful performance and presence.
On the Bekhauf Baatein platform, Soparrkar shared that dance is not merely an artform — it is a way to infuse new energy, confidence and joy in the lives of senior citizens. His heartfelt conversation on Senior Care and the power of movement left the audience visibly moved.
Sandip Soparrkar, recited Sanskrit Shlokas from the Vedas highlights the cause of care for the elderly and said, “Whenever I dance with senior citizens, I don’t feel that I am teaching them — I feel that I am learning from their lived wisdom. Dance gives them a spark of life, but they give me a spark of humanity. If even one elder walks out with a smile, confidence and dignity, then the art has done its job.”
Taking the message beyond words, Soparrkar danced live with, Nina Chauhan, Students of Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalay and Members of GenS Life.
The touching performance proved how dance can bridge generations, encourage self-expression, and remind society that age is never a limitation to learn, celebrate, or feel loved.
The evening created by NGO Sakshi was a vibrant blend of spoken word, performance, storytelling and fearless expression, embodying the true spirit of Bekhauf Baatein.
