Actress Mahi Kiran is known for her hard work, self-respect, and confidence. She has been living in Mumbai for several years and has been steadily moving forward with her acting career. Around four of her upcoming music videos are lined up for release, one of which features singer Altamas Faridi. Earlier, she acted in a music video by the legendary singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
Hailing from Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, Mahi’s journey has not been an easy one. She has faced many challenges. A devoted follower of Lord Shiva, Mahi believes that it is His blessings and her own courage that have guided her path.
Interestingly, Mahi had initially come to Mumbai with dreams of becoming a singer, but destiny led her into the world of acting. A well-known director offered her a role in acting instead of singing, and Mahi accepted the challenge. This opportunity came in the form of a Rahat Fateh Ali Khan music video. Though the video was already shot once, it was re-filmed with Mahi in the scenic valleys of Kashmir.
Soon, Mahi will be seen in an item song in South Indian films. She has also acted in about two short films so far. Mahi enjoys performing strong and emotional roles, though she is open to exploring all kinds of characters. She has received training in both acting and dance. Apart from this, she has a passion for horse riding, driving, singing, and mountaineering.
Mahi deeply admires actor Ajay Devgn. His films Jaan and Itihas are among her favorites. She says that she wants to prepare herself to such a level that she can work alongside Ajay Devgn in the future. She is also inspired by the personalities of actress Priyanka Chopra and pop star Shakira, and she enjoys listening to the songs of singer Sunidhi Chauhan. Mahi dreams of showcasing her talent not only in acting but also in singing, if given the opportunity.
Her favorite directors include Rohit Shetty, Ajay Devgn, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and she is an ardent admirer of their films. Reflecting on her life, Mahi says she has faced a lot of struggles. If she achieves success, she wishes to support the underprivileged in her hometown and provide employment opportunities to villagers so they don’t have to leave their homes in search of work.
