It is an irony that roads are made for vehicles
but in Mumbai, roads are mostly used by Cart vendors (Feriwala / Thelawala). And
BMC gives permissions to these vendors to set their business on road sides and
then declare these places as No Parking zones, which in turns becomes a trouble
for all the vehicle owners because they don’t get any area to park their
vehicles. Many a time they don’t even put a No Parking sign in the whole roads because
of which people park their vehicles there and pay a heavy fine or their
vehicles get towed by traffic police.
To
solve this serious issue, Mission Patrakarita has started a campaign and a
movement to support the innocent vehicle owners and convey their problems to
RTO, BMC and Traffic Police.
The
key points under this movement are :
▪️We
pay Road Tax
▪️BMC
give our Road to Cart Venors (Thelawala / Feriwala)
▪️RTO
Put No Parking Board at Thelawala Place
▪️If
Vehicle owner parks Vehicle for 10 Minute We have to Pay Challan of Rs. 500 to
1500 or Face towing of Vehicle
▪️Thelawala
has occupied the place since Years and BMC can not see that
▪️RTO
Department is very efficient
▪️BMC
Department is not efficient at all
▪️We
Propose that our RTO penalty should be paid by BMC
