Yami Gautam starrer Article 370 becomes the first female-led film of 2024 to rule at the Box Office

Yami Gautam, Priya Mani and Vaibhav Tatwawadi starrer Article 370 was released yesterday. The film has been getting some great reviews, especially the performances of the actors have been quite lauded. With this, the Yami Gautam film seems to have made an impressive start at the Box Office too. In fact, it has become the first female-led film of 2024 to draw an impressive collection on its opening day.

 On 23rd February, the release day for Article 370 also being Cinema Lovers Day, the ticket prices were at Rs 99, despite that, the movie went on to earn an impressive collection. With this Rs 99 offer, Article 370 earned Rs 6.12 crores, other than this, with its regular price the movie earned Rs 11.13 crores. This collection has been one of the best ones for a female-led film in 2024. In 2023, Rani Mukerji's Mrs Chatterjee VS Norway was a strong female-led film, that collected around Rs 3.22 crores on day 1. Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi that released in 2022 also went on to earn Rs 10.50 crores on its first day. So, Yami's film has not just led the female-centric cinema at the box office in 2024, but it also surpassed the biggest of female-led films of the last two years as well. With this, the film is receiving quite a strong word of mouth. It is a wait-and-watch to see the feats it achieves at the Box Office in the days to come.

 From Jio Studios and the maker of Uri: The Surgical Strike, comes Article 370, a high-octane action political drama, headlined by Yami Gautam and directed by National Award-winner Aditya Suhas Jambhale. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar, the film has been released in cinemas worldwide on 23rd February 2024.
