Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI) will be the all-India distribution partner for ‘Salaam Venky’, directed by Revathy. The much-awaited film will be released by SPRI on 9th December, 2022. The studio’s distribution business in India goes back several decades, having distributed and marketed more than 1000 films produced by Sony Pictures.
By acquiring the distribution rights of this much-awaited release, starring Kajol, Vishal Jethwa, and Aamir Khan in an important role, the studio is gearing to use its strong distribution network for a wider range of films, including movies made by other leading producers.
The film is based on a true story of a life well lived, revolving around Sujata and her son Venky, who navigate through the most challenging situations one can ever face with a smile and teach us the true meaning of living big.
Presented by Connekkt Media and produced by Suuraj Sinngh, Shraddha Agrawal, and Varsha Kukreja under the banner BLIVE Productions and RTAKE Studios, Salaam Venky is directed by Revathy and is set to release in cinemas on 9th December 2022.
