The multi-talented Sukhmani Sadana has many reasons to celebrate. She recently returned from the French Riviera where her film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect was screened at the Cannes Film Festival. The month of June gives her two more reasons to rejoice as two of her shows are releasing on the same day!
Sharing her excitement Sukhmani says, "It's a big day for me as The Broken News and Udan Patolas are both releasing on the same day. I am so proud that these two series are releasing on ZEE5 and Amazon miniTV and I can't wait for the audience reactions!"
The Broken News is an adaptation of the popular 2018 British series Press. Directed by Vinay Waikul, the show follows the story of two rival Mumbai-based news channels - Awaaz Bharati, an independent, ethical news channel, and Josh 24/7 News, which offers sensationalist and invasive journalism. Also starring Sonali Bendre, Jaideep Ahlawat and Shriya Pilgaonkar, the series premieres on ZEE5 on June 10.
Udan Patolas is an adaptation of Israeli show Honey Badgers. It revolves around four Punjabi girls - Amarinder Gill, Noorpreet Dhillon, Punni Chandok and Lovely Singh Chabbra. It is about these four girls who are from Punjab and have come to Mumbai to start a new life. The series highlights their lives' problems and how they solve them. Also starring Apoorva Arora, Poppy Jabbal and Aassttha Sidana, the series hits Amazon miniTV on June 10.
