Mumbai: Jeetu Sompura, a senior Gujarati journalist from Mumbai, was awarded the 'Rashtriya Patrakar Bhushan Puraskar' for his special contribution in the field of Religious Journalism at the 'Rashtriya Seva Gaurav Puraskar' distribution function, organized by 'Darpankar Balshastri Jambhekar Patrakar Sangh'. Nashik. Awards were presented to the talents of various fields at a function held in Nashik recently under the chairmanship of Sangh President, Shri Mahendra Deshpande. Jeetu Sompura has done excellent work in print media via columns on Religious activities in a daily, JanmBhoomi Pravasi, for a long time. Mr. Sompura is an Editor and Publisher of the famous magazine - “Sukh Shanti Samridhi” This Hindi e - magazine is spreading the messages of Positive thinking and spirituality. He has been instrumental in launching some famous religious TV channels. He is one of the pioneers in starting religious tv channels. He has been working in journalism for the last 46 years. He is currently the editor of 'Sukh Shanti Samridhi' Hindi e-magazine. He is the executive producer and director of a 50-hour video magazine on the history of hymns in Gujarat. More than 450 inspirational episodes have been created for the Peace of Mind channel, including interviews with the Brahmakumari sisters as well as excerpts from interviews with more than 200 monks. He has written four religious books.
Jeetu Sompura has written script for three Gujarati films and three Gujarati TV serials, one of which won the Gujarat Government's Best Scree play Writers Award for a Gujarati film.
