Mumbai: Having crossed over 4.5 Million plus views for his first ever song ‘Bachcha Party’, the global superstar Rego B released a fresh take on his grandfather Bappi Lahiri’s popular song ‘Yaad aa raha hai, tera pyar' from the film 'Disco Dancer' on his official youtube channel. Rego-B gave the track a contemporary twist in his own unique style.
During the 80s, Bappi Lahiri popularized the use of synthesized disco music in the Indian music industry and Rego B is bringing back the same era in his own style. Rego B has music in his blood, he has the style and energy of his grandfather that he had in his heyday, and he has remade the classic 'Yaad aa raha hai, tera pyar' as his own.
Rego-B has not only shown an excellent talent at singing, he has also shown sensitivity and appreciation of soulful music with this attempt of remaking a song that is glued to the psyche of more than two generations. Being a fourth generation singer and having a legend like Bappi Lahiri as his grandfather, Rego B is gracefully carrying forward the family legacy.
Already lauded by audiences from all across the globe, Rego-B was selected to sing and feature in Bachcha Party song following a very tedious process of multiple rounds of auditions. Shameer Tondon, the composer of Bachcha Party, is entitled to receive the credit for finding this wonder child through a large bunch of kids recommended by a reputed music school in Mumbai.
Speaking about this new youtube video Rego-B said, “Daadu is my idol, I learnt music from him. I'm honored to have him as my grandfather and express gratitude to be coming from a musical family. In this attempt, I have only tried to express my love for this song, its vibe and its magical feeling.”
Rego B is now gearing up for the release of his next song 'Kal Chutti Hai'.
