The initiative aimed to benefit local residents and drive awareness around preventive healthcare.</div><div><br></div><div>The camp was supported by a targeted Meta campaign that reached nearly 3.5 lakh people within a 2-kilometre radius, ensuring extensive outreach and participation from the surrounding community.</div><div><br></div><div>Attendees received consultations from a diverse panel of medical professionals, including general practitioners, gynaecologists, a general surgeon, and physiotherapists, offering comprehensive medical guidance under one roof. Free basic health screenings, such as blood pressure checks and general health assessments, were also conducted, enabling participants to better understand their health status.</div><div><br></div><div>A key highlight of the initiative was the availability of subsidised HPV vaccinations, including Cervavac and Gardasil. These vaccines offer protection against cervical, vaginal, and anal cancers, as well as genital warts, reinforcing the importance of preventive healthcare among residents.</div><div><br></div><div>Nearly 40 individuals donated blood during the camp, while several others availed medical consultations and screenings. Some participants were unable to donate due to low haemoglobin levels or ongoing medication, underscoring seasonal health concerns and the need for regular health monitoring. All blood donors were presented with certificates and assured priority support for future blood requirements, further encouraging participation and community engagement.</div><div><br></div><div>The initiative was organised in collaboration with the Thane Creekside Rotary Club. The multiplex begins operations on March 19 with the screening of Dhurandhar: The Revenge. (BSE: 539523, NSE: ALKEM, “Alkem” and its subsidiaries) announced the launch of semaglutide injection in India <a rel="noreferrer noreferrer">under the brand names “<i>Semasize”</i>, <i>Obesema” </i>and <i>“Hepaglide”. </i>Semaglutide is administered as a subcutaneous injection, once weekly.</a><i></i></p><p>The company has launched its semaglutide pre-filled disposable injection pen at a price starting INR 1,800 for a month’s dosage, which translates into a weekly cost of INR 450. Through an affordable pricing, Alkem aims to lower barriers to initiation and expand access to this therapy in India.</p><p>Alkem has received approval from the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) for manufacturing and marketing semaglutide for type 2 diabetes mellitus and chronic weight management as an adjunct to diet and exercise, subsequent to a review of its Phase 3 clinical trials conducted in India. Semaglutide is a prescription product and should be taken under appropriate medical supervision.</p><p><a rel="noreferrer noreferrer">Apart from disposable pen, Alkem is offering reusable injection pen for semaglutide administration for higher maintenance doses.
