It will strengthen UPI sustainability, support innovation, mitigate frauds and enhance wider acceptance. The framework will support payment infrastructure and acceptance networks enabling UPI to expand further and serve consumers and businesses across the country.</div><div><br></div><div>ASSOCHAM appreciates the Government’s balanced approach which keeps all person-to-person (P2P) UPI transactions completely free, irrespective of the amount transferred. Merchant payments up to ₹2,000 will also remain free of MDR.</div><div><br></div><div>The framework provides continued zero MDR support to eligible small merchants, including street vendors and neighbourhood businesses receiving up to ₹1 lakh per month through UPI QR codes under the P2PM category. This will help protect micro and small businesses from additional payment costs.</div><div> </div><div>In India, there are more than 3 crore Micro units who will not face any MDR charges for UPI transactions as their monthly turnover is less than 1 Lakh.</div><div><br></div><div>Importantly, around 96% of merchant transactions will remain unaffected with MDR applying to only about 4% of P2M transactions. This will ensure that the vast majority of everyday merchant payments continue without any MDR impact.</div><div><br></div><div>For specified merchant transactions above ₹2,000, an MDR of 0.4% will apply which is  capped at ₹300 for transactions of ₹75,000 and above. Essential and thin margin sectors such as railways, telecommunications, insurance, fuel and agricultural inputs will attract a flat MDR of ₹5 on transactions above ₹2,000.</div><div><br></div><div>For capital market transactions, including mutual funds, securities, stockbrokers and dealers, the MDR will be 0.02%, capped at ₹300 per transaction, supporting continued digital adoption in formal financial markets.</div><div><br></div><div>The framework also provides for a dedicated fund, with 5% of total MDR collections, to promote UPI adoption among small merchants and support wider acceptance, particularly across rural and semi urban areas.</div><div><br></div><div>By creating a sustainable revenue mechanism while protecting consumers and small merchants, the framework can support greater investment in innovation, infrastructure and payment acceptance. This will further strengthen UPI’s role in driving India’s digital transformation, said Shri Nirmal K. Minda.</div><div><br></div><div>The framework will support UPI’s continued growth while strengthening its reach, innovation and infrastructure. It will help in building a more sustainable and inclusive digital payments ecosystem.</div>

The anchor investor bidding date is Wednesday, September 23, 2026, and the bid/offer will conclude on Monday, September 28, 2026. The Company receive ₹35,500 lakhs, through a fresh issue of equity shares, and aims to be listed on the BSE & NSE platforms. </div><div><br></div><div>The price band for the Offer has been fixed at ₹385-₹405 per share, and bids can be made for a minimum of 37 equity shares equity shares of face value of ₹10 and multiples of 37 thereafter. Prabhudas Lilladher Capital Markets Private Limited and Khambatta Securities Limited are the Book Running Lead Managers (“BRLMs”), and Bigshare Services Private Limited is the Registrar to the Offer.</div><div><br></div><div>The IPO comprises a Fresh Issue of equity shares of face value of ₹10 each aggregating up to ₹35,500 lakhs by the Company and an Offer for Sale of equity shares of face value of ₹10 each aggregating up to ₹5,000 lakhs by the Promoters of the Company, Sandeep Kumar, Sunil Jallan and Krishan Kumar Jalan, through book-building route. At a higher end of the price band (Cap Price), (i) not more than 49,75,308 equity shares were allocated for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), out of which, in consultation with the BRLMs, upto 29,85,185 equity shares of face value of ₹10 have been allocated for the Anchor investors, (ii) not less than 14,92,593 equity shares of face value of ₹10 were allocated for Non Institutional Bidders (NIBs), and (iii) not less than 34,82,716 equity shares of face value of ₹10 were allocated to the Retail Individual Bidders (RIBs). The Offer includes a reservation of up-to 49,382 equity shares of face value of ₹10 each for purchase by eligible employees (Employee Reservation). A discount of ₹38 per equity share is being offered to eligible employees bidding under the employee reservation category. </div><div><br></div><div>According to Red Herring Prospectus, ASIL proposes to utilize ₹25,000 lakhs from the Offer proceeds for pre-payment or partial re-payment of a portion of certain outstanding borrowings availed by the company and to deploy remaining funds for general corporate purposes and offer expenses.</div><div><br></div><div>ASIL is a backward/vertically integrated steel manufacturer with a diversified product portfolio comprising long and flat steel products, as well as industrial products. The Company and its subsidiaries operate six manufacturing units across Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, comprising facilities located at Gauribidanur, Hindupur, Chikkantapur, Bellary, and Koppal with an aggregate installed capacity of 17,33,100 MTPA.  </div><div><br></div><div>The Company’s manufacturing facilities undertake complementary stages of the steel-manufacturing process. The Koppal facility manufactures sponge iron; the Gauribindanur and Hindupur plants manufacture MS billets and TMT bars; Bellary Facility I manufactures sponge iron, MS billets, HR coils, and HR (MS) pipes; Bellary Facility II manufactures galvanized pipes; and the Chikkantapur Facility manufactures met coke and ferro alloys.</div><div><br></div><div>ASIL’s TMT bars manufactured at its Gauribidanur Facility and Hindupur Facility have been certified as a green product by the CII – Green Products and Services Council and received GreenPro Ecolabel accreditation. Additionally, the Company’s HR coil and HR (MS) pipes in grades manufactured at out Bellary I Facility have also been certified as green products by the Confederation of Indian Industry - Green Products and Services Council under the GreenPro Ecolabel framework.</div><div><br></div><div>The Company received a Green Steel Certificate from the National Institute of Secondary Steel Technology, Mandi, Gobindgarh (India) for producing 1,80,351 tonnes of TMT Bars during Fiscal 2026, having an average emission intensity of 0.67t-CO2e/tfs. </div><div><br></div><div>ASIL has also initiated the compliance process that enables Company’s steel exports to be accepted in the European Union under the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).</div><div><br></div><div>A-One Steel India is one of the steel industry players with lower emissions per tonne of crude steel and a higher share of renewable electricity usage. The Company has been awarded 5-star rating by the Ministry of Steel for its production facility in Chikkabalapur, Karnataka for the production of TMT bars. As of Fiscal 2026, 83.20% of the total power requirement for ASIL’s manufacturing facilities is met through the green energy, enabled the Company to save approximately ₹1.57 per unit in electricity cost during the Fiscal Year.</div><div><br></div><div>The Company sells its products through a combination of direct retail sales channels, authorised distributors, institutional customers and other intermediaries and trading channels. As of March 31, 2026, A-One Steels’ sales network comprised 1,246 direct retail sales channels, 32 authorised distributors and 57 institutional customers. </div><div><br></div><div>A-One Steels India Limited commenced its operations in 2013 with the manufacturing of MS billets at its Gauribidanur facility. The Promoters of the Company are Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Mr. Sunil Jallan and Mr. Krishan Kumar Jalan. </div><div><br></div><div>ASIL recorded ₹4,14,856.74 lakhs revenue from operations in Fiscal 2026, compared to ₹3,54,178.09 lakhs revenue from operations in Fiscal 2025. </div></div><div><b>Mumbai: </b>Drydocks World, a DP World company, and Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) announced the signing of a joint venture agreement to operate and expand the International Ship Repair Facility (ISRF) Cochin.</div><div><b>The agreement was signed by Captain Rado Antolovic, PhD, CEO, Drydocks World, and Jose V J, Chairman & Managing Director of Cochin Shipyard Ltd., on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit 2026 in New Delhi, in the presence of Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), and H.E. Omran Sharaf Alhashimi, UAE Assistant Foreign Minister for Advanced Science and Technology. </b></div><div>The agreement builds on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Drydocks World (DDW) and CSL during India Maritime Week 2025, under which the two organizations agreed to explore opportunities for collaboration in ship repair and allied maritime services. </div></div><div><span><b>Mumbai: TeamLease EdTech</b> hosted an industry roundtable on “<b>Talent Creation for Viksit Bharat: Building Future-Ready Capabilities through Stronger Academia-Industry Collaboration</b>” at The Orchid, Vile Parle, Mumbai. The two-hour discussion brought together around 25 CHROs, HR Heads, CSR Heads and business leaders.</span></div><div><b>Chaired by Prof. Rajiv Prakash, Director, IIT Bhilai</b>, the roundtable focused on the capabilities India’s workforce will require as AI, automation, digitalisation and emerging technologies continue to reshape industries and job roles.</div><div>The discussion examined how academia and industry can move beyond a largely recruitment-led relationship towards a model where employers participate more actively in talent creation. Key areas included industry inputs into curriculum, live projects, internships, mentorship, applied research and greater workplace exposure for students.</div><div>Participants also discussed the need for graduates to combine strong academic foundations with problem-solving ability, digital fluency, adaptability and exposure to real business environments.</div><div><span><b>Shantanu Rooj, Founder and CEO, TeamLease EdTech,</b> said, “India cannot build the workforce required for Viksit Bharat by treating education and employment as two separate stages. Industry needs to become a participant in talent creation, not merely a consumer of talent at the end of the education process. Curriculum inputs, projects, mentorship and workplace exposure can create a much deeper connection between universities and employers.”</span></div><div>The roundtable also explored how academia-industry partnerships can become more structured, scalable and outcome-oriented, particularly around experiential learning, emerging skills, faculty-industry engagement and sustained employer participation in higher education.</div><div><b>Prof. Rajiv Prakash, Director, IIT Bhilai</b>, said, “Higher Education Institutions must provide strong conceptual foundations, but those foundations become more valuable when students can apply them to real-world problems. Meaningful academia-industry engagement can bring contemporary context into education while enabling industry to contribute to the capabilities it will need in the future.”</div><div>Insights from the discussion will contribute to a forthcoming TeamLease EdTech whitepaper titled “Talent Creation for Viksit Bharat”, which will capture industry priorities and recommendations for strengthening industry readiness, employment outcomes and innovation.</div>

The project, spanning the 380-acre campus, is expected to replenish an estimated 178 million litres of water annually, once completed by end of this year. It will use smart sensors and efficient fixtures including aerators and waterless urinals to reduce consumption, capture and recycle wastewater, and recharge groundwater across the campus. The collaboration is part of Amazon’s wider water stewardship efforts in India, where the company recently achieved its goal of becoming water positive—returning 120% of the water it uses across its direct operations to communities and the environment—ahead of its 2027 target.</div><div>"This collaboration with FluxGen reflects our deep commitment to water stewardship in India. The programme will include quarterly student visits to the NCL campus for hands-on exposure to water management technologies, the establishment of water conservation clubs in local schools, and the introduction of “HydroQuest”—an educational board game that teaches water conservation principles through interactive gameplay.</div><div>Recently, <b>Amazon</b> announced that it has become water positive in India, meaning the company now returns more water to communities than it uses across its direct operations, including corporate offices, data centres, and fulfilment centres across the country. Amazon had set a goal to become water positive in India by 2027 and has now achieved it ahead of time. The company has committed more than Rs 62 crore towards water stewardship initiatives across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Delhi NCR, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. These projects are expected to replenish more than 4 billion litres of water annually through watershed restoration, lake rejuvenation, efficient irrigation, groundwater recharge, and water quality improvement initiatives tailored to local needs.</div>
