Mumbai: Thermax announces the appointment of Mr. Ashish Bhandari as the Joint MD of the Thermax Group, effective April 20, 2020. M.S. Unnikrishnan, Managing Director and CEO Thermax will retire on  June 30, 2020 following which Mr. Bhandari will move into the role of Managing Director and CEO. Ashish will be joining Thermax from Baker Hughes (formerly a GE Company), where he is currently the Vice President – India & South Asia region. Ashish is an engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, and received his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Duke University.
Commenting on the appointment of Ashish Bhandari, Meher Pudumjee, Chairperson of the Board said, “We are delighted to have Ashish join us as Joint MD of Thermax. He has nearly three decades of global experience with a strong track record of growing diverse businesses. The Board believes that he is the right person to succeed Unny who has successfully led Thermax over the last 13 years during its transformative and difficult time in the industry.”
