Masaan and Raman Raghav showcased the actor par excellence in Vicky Kaushal. His sole release in 2019, Uri: The Surgical Strike struck gold at the box office, raking in nearly Rs 350 crore. The 31-year-old also earned a National Film Award for Best Actor.
Next, he will be seen playing the role of Sam Manekshaw, India's legendary Field Marshal, in addition to playing Udham Singh, the revolutionary who killed Michael O' Dwyer, the former lieutenant governor of Punjab responsible for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. He will also be seen in Karan Johar's Takht and Awasthama helmed by URI director Aditya Dhar. Kaushal was also India's most searched film actor in 2019, according to Google.
