Mumbai- Dr. Hansaji Jayadeva Yogendra has been endowed with yet another International honours. She has been prestigiously honoured for being one of the major and leading authorities on Yoga worldwide.Bharat Gaurav award honours given to Dr. Hansaji Yogendra for extraordinary contribution and excellence in the field of yoga. The honours were conferred at the UK House of Commons in British Parliament in London on July 19th, 2019.
An exemplary yogi and a scholar transforming millions of lives worldwide- Dr. Hansaji Jayadeva Yogendra is currently the Director of The Yoga Institute, Mumbai, the world’s oldest organised Yoga center. She is also the President of International Board of Yoga and Senior Vice President Indian Yoga Association (IYA). Her significant contributions in areas like Yoga education, research, experiential learning, standardisation of Yoga practices have been widely recognized. Recognising and honouring the philanthropic work done under Dr. Hansaji Yogendra’s guidance, The Yoga Institute won the prestigious Prime Minister’s award for spreading the yoga goodness to all. She has authored and co-authored over 50 books of which Yoga Sutras Of Patanjali, How to Reverse Heart Disease, Pregnancy, Parenthood are just a few to name. She has played a pivotal role in making significant changes in the Central Government’s policies to further the cause of Yoga awareness.
